An international survey has revealed overwhelming global support for China’s constructive role in addressing the Iranian nuclear issue. The poll, conducted by CGTN across multiple languages, indicates that a significant majority of respondents advocate for diplomatic solutions and appreciate China’s efforts in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
According to the survey, 87.6% of participants view the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as a vital achievement in resolving sensitive issues through dialogue and negotiation. They emphasize the importance of maintaining the agreement’s validity rather than overturning it and starting anew.
The poll also highlights that 89.8% of respondents believe unilateral sanctions, threats of force, and extreme pressure are ineffective in resolving the Iranian nuclear issue. Instead, 89.5% advocate for political and diplomatic engagement based on mutual respect as the only effective and viable option.
Furthermore, 90.6% call on all parties involved to refrain from actions that could escalate tensions, urging the creation of a favorable atmosphere for diplomatic efforts. There is also a strong consensus—87.4% of respondents—on upholding the authority of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons and supporting the International Atomic Energy Agency’s impartial work.
China’s active role in facilitating dialogue has not gone unnoticed. From hosting meetings with Russia and Iran in Beijing to promoting reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, China has demonstrated a commitment to peacefully resolving regional conflicts. An impressive 87.8% of those surveyed appreciate China’s constructive contributions to the Iranian nuclear issue and expect the nation to continue playing a significant role in global governance.
The survey engaged 7,766 respondents worldwide within 24 hours, reflecting a strong global desire for peaceful solutions and highlighting the international community’s support for diplomacy over confrontation.
