China Sends Special Envoy to Namibia for Presidential Inauguration

China is set to strengthen its ties with Namibia as Chinese President Xi Jinping’s special envoy, Peng Qinghua, prepares to attend Namibia’s presidential inauguration ceremony. The event is scheduled for March 21 in the capital city of Windhoek, according to a statement released by China’s foreign ministry on Tuesday.

Peng Qinghua, who serves as the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, will represent China at the ceremony, highlighting the importance Beijing places on its relationship with Namibia. This visit underscores China’s commitment to fostering strong diplomatic and economic partnerships across the African continent.
