Beijing, China — Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang met with Kazakhstan’s First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar on Tuesday, with both nations pledging to deepen practical cooperation and strengthen their strategic partnership.
The two leaders co-chaired the 12th Meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Cooperation Committee in Beijing, focusing on enhancing mutual trust and aligning development strategies for mutual benefit.
Vice Premier Ding highlighted the rapid development of China-Kazakhstan relations, emphasizing that the partnership serves as a model for international relations. “Under the guidance of our heads of state, we have maintained a positive trajectory of cooperation,” Ding stated.
He proposed four key areas for future collaboration: reinforcing high-level diplomatic exchanges, advancing high-quality Belt and Road initiatives, enhancing law enforcement and security cooperation, and fostering people-to-people exchanges.
First Deputy Prime Minister Sklyar affirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to its relationship with China, noting it as a diplomatic priority. “We are ready to work closely with China to implement key projects and achieve new milestones in our cooperation,” Sklyar said.
Both sides agreed on the importance of leveraging bilateral mechanisms to further consolidate political trust and support, aiming to bring tangible benefits to their countries and peoples.
