China and Kazakhstan Collaborate on High-Tech Growth Opportunities

China and Kazakhstan are strengthening their partnership to boost economic growth and technological advancement. At an event held in Astana, Kazakhstan’s capital, leaders from both countries discussed how China's development can create global opportunities, with Kazakhstan eager to benefit from closer cooperation.

The event, titled “China in Springtime: Sharing Opportunities with the World Global Dialogue“, brought together over 60 guests from politics, business, and media. Discussions focused on the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, global opportunities from China's high-quality development, and potential high-tech collaborations.

In a video address, Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group (CMG), emphasized the interconnectedness of China's development with the world. “Global prosperity relies on collaboration,” Shen said. He called for openness and win-win cooperation in the face of global challenges, announcing CMG's plans to establish a media platform to share China's experiences and insights globally.

Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Han Chunlin highlighted China's economic growth, noting that China's GDP is projected to grow by 5 percent this year. He also mentioned that the increases in economic output during the 14th Five-Year Plan period are expected to match the total annual output of a developed economy. He described China as the “biggest driving force for global economic growth,” emphasizing that China's ongoing reforms and higher-level opening-up will create new momentum for global development and historic opportunities for countries worldwide.

Erkin Abil, a member of the Mazhilis of Kazakhstan's Parliament, spoke about the deepening strategic cooperation and unprecedented mutual trust between China and Kazakhstan. He expressed confidence in enhancing collaboration based on equality and mutual benefit, driving progress across various fields.

Sanat Zholdykhan, chairman of the Board of QazInnovations, praised China's advancements in high-tech industries. He noted that Kazakhstan can learn from China's development experience, pointing to close cooperation in communications, new energy, artificial intelligence, and digital agriculture. “These technological partnerships will provide new drivers for Kazakhstan's economic growth,” Zholdykhan said.

The event showcased the commitment of both nations to work together for shared growth, leveraging technological innovation and strategic collaboration to benefit their economies and the global community.
