Shanghai, China—Exciting news from the shipyards: the hull design for Adora Flora City, the Chinese mainland’s second domestically built large cruise ship, has been unveiled. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Maritime Silk Road and the renowned Dunhuang murals, this vessel continues the captivating design concept of its sister ship, Adora Magic City.
The main hull assembly of Adora Flora City is now complete, and work has begun on installing its prefabricated cabins. This new ship is set to make waves with its impressive specifications. Compared to its predecessor, it boasts a larger gross tonnage and extended length. The number of cabins has increased to 2,130, offering a greater variety of suite options to cater to diverse passenger needs.
With a maximum passenger capacity of 5,232, Adora Flora City is poised to become a floating city on the seas. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in 2026, marking another milestone in the Chinese mainland’s growing prowess in cruise ship manufacturing.
The unveiling of Adora Flora City underscores the rapid development of the maritime industry in the region. As the ship prepares to set sail, it symbolizes not just a journey across oceans but also a bridge connecting cultures along the historic Maritime Silk Road.
