A new white paper titled “Human Rights in Xizang in the New Era” was released on Friday during a press conference in Lhasa, the capital city of southwest China’s Xizang Autonomous Region. The document, unveiled by the State Council Information Office, highlights significant advancements in human rights within the region.
The white paper details how Xizang has made remarkable progress in various areas, including economic development, education, healthcare, and cultural preservation. Officials noted that these developments have substantially improved the quality of life for residents in Xizang.
The document emphasizes the region’s efforts in poverty alleviation, with significant reductions in poverty rates and improvements in infrastructure.
