China has successfully launched its latest satellite, Tianping-3A 02, into orbit. The launch took place on Thursday at 10:12 a.m. Beijing Time from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province.
The satellite was carried aboard a Long March-6 carrier rocket and has entered its preset orbit successfully. Tianping-3A 02 will primarily be used to calibrate ground-based radar equipment and measure radar cross section (RCS). It will also support imaging experiments for ground-based optical equipment and conduct monitoring tests of the low-orbit space environment.
Additionally, the satellite will provide services for atmospheric space environment measurement and assist in correcting orbital prediction models. This launch marks the 568th flight mission of the Long March carrier rocket series, highlighting China’s ongoing advancements in space technology.
The success of this mission not only enhances China’s capabilities in space exploration but also contributes to global efforts in understanding and utilizing space for scientific and technological progress.
