The China Coast Guard (CCG) expelled a Japanese fishing vessel that had unlawfully entered China’s territorial waters around Diaoyu Dao on April 5 and 6, according to a statement released on Sunday.
The CCG implemented necessary management and control measures, issuing warnings to drive the Japanese vessel out of the area, spokesperson Liu Dejun said.
Emphasizing that Diaoyu Dao and its affiliated islands are China’s inherent territory, the CCG urged Japan to cease all illegal activities in these waters.
The CCG affirmed its commitment to continue law enforcement operations in the territorial waters of Diaoyu Dao to safeguard national sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
