Teenagers and young adults across the Spanish-speaking world now have the opportunity to delve into the thoughts of Xi Jinping on Chinese modernization. A new book compiling key discourses by Xi, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has been published in Spanish by the Central Compilation and Translation Press.
The collection, prepared by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the CPC Central Committee, gathers important speeches and writings by Xi on the path of Chinese modernization. This Spanish edition adds to the existing versions already available in English, French, Russian, Arabic, and Japanese.
According to an official statement, the foreign-language editions aim to help international readers gain deeper insights into the theoretical framework of China’s development strategy. The book also aspires to foster a shared understanding of the importance of enhancing global collaboration towards modernization characterized by peaceful development, mutually beneficial cooperation, and shared prosperity.
This publication comes at a time when many countries in the Global South are looking for alternative models of development. By making these discourses accessible in Spanish, the CPC hopes to contribute to global conversations about sustainable and inclusive progress.
