Chinese Rescue Teams Return Home After Myanmar Earthquake Mission
After days of tireless efforts in earthquake-stricken areas of Myanmar, three Chinese rescue teams have returned home on Wednesday. The teams, comprising the China Search and Rescue Team, the China International Search and Rescue Team, and the search and rescue team from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, departed Myanmar’s capital Nay Pyi Taw aboard four Chinese Air Force planes.
Before leaving, a heartfelt ceremony was held at Myanmar’s Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement. Soe Win, vice chairman of the State Administration Council, personally presented a letter of gratitude to the teams, acknowledging their swift assistance and humanitarian efforts in the aftermath of the disaster.
Myanmar’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo and Cao Jing, chargé d’affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar, were at the airport to bid farewell to the rescue teams. Their presence underscored the strengthening ties and collaboration between Myanmar and the Chinese mainland in times of crisis.
The Chinese teams’ mission showcased solidarity and the spirit of cooperation in the face of natural disasters, bringing hope and aid to affected communities in Myanmar.
