China’s foreign trade sector is confident and prepared to address a range of global challenges, according to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.
He Yongqian, speaking at a daily press conference, highlighted that China’s vast market potential continues to unfold, with measures to stabilize the economy and foreign trade being progressively implemented.
“China will remain steadfast in managing its own affairs well, using its own stability to counter uncertainties in the external environment,” the spokesperson stated.
He added that China will support foreign trade enterprises facing export challenges by assisting them in exploring the domestic market. Measures will include trade-in programs for consumer goods and promotional campaigns to boost high-quality foreign trade products.
Recently, the Ministry of Commerce organized discussions with industry associations, large supermarkets, and distribution firms to explore ways to leverage their respective strengths and help foreign trade enterprises expand domestic sales channels, He noted.
