Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is also the general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, bid farewell to To Lam, the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, on Tuesday. Despite the brief visit, both leaders celebrated substantial outcomes that promise to enhance collaboration between the two nations.
During their meeting, Xi and To Lam reaffirmed their commitment to advancing socialism and expressed a shared vision to comprehensively promote bilateral strategic cooperation. They discussed their unified stance on resisting external risks and challenges, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding regional peace, stability, and international justice.
“I have full confidence in the prospect of China-Vietnam relations,” Xi stated. “Both sides should fully implement the achievements of this visit and continue to advance the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.”
To Lam echoed Xi’s sentiments, noting that the visit had produced fruitful results. He highlighted a series of important agreements that have strengthened strategic cooperation between the two parties and countries. These developments, he said, have bolstered Vietnam’s confidence in overcoming risks and challenges while elevating the friendly ties between the two peoples.
“Vietnam will actively implement the outcomes of this visit,” To Lam affirmed. “We will foster the continued development of party-to-party and state-to-state relations, creating a prosperous future for both our nations.”
