Entrepreneurs are becoming the driving force behind the economic growth linking the Chinese mainland and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). As ties deepen between these regions, business leaders are playing a pivotal role in fostering cooperation and prosperity.

“In recent years, we’ve witnessed a surge in collaboration between the Chinese mainland and ASEAN countries,” says Tan In Fong, secretary-general of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce. “Entrepreneurs are at the forefront of this movement, pioneering new ventures and strengthening economic integration.”

Young entrepreneurs are particularly influential in emerging sectors like technology, green energy, and digital economies. Their innovative approaches are not only boosting trade but also creating jobs and opportunities for communities across Asia.

According to Tan, initiatives like the Belt and Road Initiative have opened doors for entrepreneurs to expand their reach. “These opportunities encourage collaboration, allowing us to share resources and ideas that propel regional development,” he explains.

As the Chinese mainland and ASEAN continue to collaborate, the role of entrepreneurs is set to grow even more significant. Their efforts are essential in building a prosperous and connected future for the region.
