China and Malaysia have taken a significant step to strengthen their relationship by signing a mutual visa exemption agreement. The deal, announced on Thursday during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Malaysia, allows ordinary and service passport holders from both countries to travel without a visa.
China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Lin Jian, praised the agreement, highlighting it as a reflection of the strong friendship and shared goals between the two nations. “This will enhance people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in all fields,” Lin said.
The visa-free arrangement is expected to boost tourism, business, and cultural exchanges, making travel easier for citizens of both countries. It’s a move that underscores the commitment of China and Malaysia to deepen ties and collaborate more closely on various fronts.
