‘The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping’ Premieres on Cambodian Television
The Cambodian version of ‘The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping’, a multilingual television show produced by China Media Group (CMG), has officially started airing in Cambodia. The debut coincides with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to the country on Thursday.
A launching ceremony was held in Phnom Penh, bringing together nearly 200 guests, including politicians, business leaders, academics, and media representatives from both China and Cambodia.
In a congratulatory letter, Cambodian People’s Party President and Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen highlighted the strong ties between Cambodia and China, stating that their relations are at an all-time high. He expressed hope that the show would strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the two nations and provide inspiration for addressing shared global challenges.
The Cambodian version of the show focuses on themes such as environmental protection, cultural heritage and innovation, and exchanges among civilizations. By presenting these ideas from a global perspective, the program aims to highlight the cultural foundations of Chinese modernization, making Chinese culture and wisdom more accessible to audiences worldwide.
Speaking at the event, Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG, emphasized CMG’s commitment to working with Cambodian partners to deepen cooperation across various fields. He expressed hope to create more initiatives in cultural exchanges and to inject new vitality into building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
