Legoland Shanghai Resort Gears Up for Grand Opening with Thrilling Rides and Shows
China’s first Legoland theme park is set to open its doors in 2024, bringing excitement and adventure to families and Lego enthusiasts alike. The construction of Legoland Shanghai Resort has entered its final stages, with anticipation building for its grand opening next year.
The resort features 24 core rides, all currently in the testing and commissioning phase, promising a range of interactive experiences for visitors. The Legoland Hotel is nearing completion and will offer guests a unique stay themed around the beloved Lego bricks.
A highlight of the park is Miniland, the signature attraction that is over 90 percent complete. Built with more than 36 million Lego bricks, Miniland showcases famous landmarks, historical sites, and natural wonders from around the world, all brought to life in stunning detail.
Adding to the excitement is the global premiere of the “Lego Monkie Kid” live show, currently in rehearsal. The show features 13 professional puppeteers and a towering 3.7-meter Bull Demon King puppet, enhanced by spectacular projection effects and massive stage props.
Upon opening, visitors can look forward to 22 character meet-and-greets, 11 themed performances and special events daily, as well as screenings of Lego films in the 4D cinema throughout the day.
Limited “1st-to-Play” annual passes and “1st-to-Stay” hotel packages, both including access during the trial period, are expected to go on sale soon. These exclusive offers will provide early access for eager fans to experience the resort before the official opening.
Tailored for families with children aged 2 to 12, Legoland Shanghai Resort spans eight themed lands and features over 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions. With thousands of Lego models built from more than 85 million Lego bricks, the resort promises an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
