Beijing Guoan continued their impressive run in the Chinese Super League (CSL) with a solid 2-0 victory over Dalian Yingbo on Monday night in Dalian, northeast China’s Liaoning Province. This win marks their fourth consecutive victory, keeping them undefeated in the league so far.
Dalian Yingbo, despite their struggles this season with only three wins, had remained unbeaten at home until this clash. Beijing Guoan broke the deadlock in the 19th minute when Guga delivered a precise cross from the left wing. Wang Ziming rose above the defenders to head the ball into the net, giving the visitors an early lead.
Just three minutes later, Beijing Guoan doubled their advantage. Wang Gang made a dazzling run down the right flank, bursting into the penalty area. His low cross took a deflection but found its way to Fabio Abreu, who headed home to make it 2-0.
In the 82nd minute, Guoan introduced Zhang Yuning, who quickly made his presence felt by earning a penalty after being fouled in the box. However, Dalian’s goalkeeper Sui Weijie guessed correctly and saved the spot-kick, denying Guoan a third goal.
Despite missing the penalty, Beijing Guoan secured their sixth win of the season. They remain third in the league standings, trailing only Chengdu Rongcheng and Shanghai Shenhua.

Wang Shenchao put Shanghai Port ahead in the 12th minute, volleying home a pass from Xu Xin inside the box. Just before halftime, Xu Xin provided his second assist, setting up Mateus Vital. The Brazilian midfielder unleashed a powerful long-range shot into the top corner, marking his first goal for the club since joining.
Wuhan Three Towns created several scoring opportunities but were unfortunate not to find the net. Alexandru Tudorie struck the crossbar and post three times throughout the match.
Although Leonardo appeared to add a third goal for Shanghai Port in the 73rd minute, it was disallowed after a VAR review found that teammate Wu Lei had committed a foul in the buildup.
