China Urges India Pakistan to Exercise Restraint Amid Latest Tensions

China Calls for Calm Amid India-Pakistan Tensions

In the wake of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, China has urged both nations to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could further complicate the situation.

On Wednesday, following reports of military strikes by India in Pakistan and subsequent responses from Pakistan, the Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed concern over the developments. In a statement, the ministry said, “India and Pakistan are and will always be each other’s neighbors. They’re both China’s neighbors as well.”

Emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the region, the ministry added, “China opposes all forms of terrorism. We urge both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability and remain calm.”

The call for restraint comes as the international community watches closely, hoping for a de-escalation of the conflict between the two South Asian neighbors.
