2025 World Robot Conference Set for August Launch in Beijing

The 2025 World Robot Conference is scheduled to take place from August 8 to 12 at the Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. The announcement was made at a press conference held by the Information Office of Beijing Municipality on Wednesday.

Hosted by the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) and the World Robot Cooperation Organization, the event will feature opening and closing ceremonies, parallel forums, the World Robot Expo, and the World Robot Competition. Marking its 10th edition, the conference aims to bring together the brightest minds in robotics from around the globe.

Chen Ying, vice president and secretary-general of the CIE, highlighted the conference’s expanded global engagement. “We are expecting participation from over 30 international organizations, more than 30 renowned global experts, and over 100 international teams,” she said. International exhibitors will comprise more than 20 percent of the total participants.

To date, 20 international organizations, including the World Federation of Engineering Organizations, the International Foundation for Robotics Research, and the European Robotics Association, have confirmed their support for the conference. Notable figures such as Kathleen A. Kramer, president of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); Seng Chuan Tan, president of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations; and Toshio Fukuda, foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and former IEEE president, are slated to attend.

With nearly 500 distinguished guests from both home and abroad, the conference promises to be a milestone event. The exhibition area will, for the first time, exceed 50,000 square meters. More than 200 companies, including nearly 50 leading humanoid robot manufacturers, will showcase their innovations. Over 100 new products are expected to be unveiled during the event.

Officials emphasized that this year’s activities will focus more on precise alignment with service industries, international cooperation, and scenario applications. The conference aims to foster collaboration and drive advancements in the global robotics field.

Following the conference, the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games will be held from August 15 to 17, offering an exciting platform for teams to demonstrate cutting-edge humanoid robot technologies.
