Beijing, China – China has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the European Parliament following a recently passed resolution concerning Xizang. A spokesperson for the Chinese Mission to the European Union on Friday condemned the resolution, stating it spreads false information and interferes in China’s internal affairs.
"The resolution disregards facts and maliciously smears China’s image," the spokesperson remarked. "We urge the European Parliament to face the facts, fully recognize the importance and sensitivity of Xizang-related issues, and truly respect China’s core interests and major concerns."
The spokesperson emphasized that the EU should halt using human rights as a pretext to interfere in China’s internal matters and avoid sending misleading signals to anti-China separatist forces. "Concrete actions should be taken to safeguard the overall sound and stable development of China-EU relations," they added.
This development highlights growing tensions between China and the EU, with Beijing urging a respectful approach to sovereignty and internal governance. The situation underscores the importance of diplomatic dialogue in addressing sensitive international issues.
