Notably, even in countries like Panama, where the government recently decided not to renew the BRI cooperation agreement, the public sentiment remains positive. About 86% of Panamanian respondents believe the BRI benefits Latin America.

Mutual Benefits and Optimism for the Future

The survey indicates that 86.5% of respondents view economic cooperation with China as mutually beneficial. They recognize China’s contributions to technological innovation, infrastructure development, and the digital economy. Many hope for stronger collaboration in manufacturing, education, and infrastructure.
