China has announced that it will impose anti-dumping duties on polyformaldehyde copolymer imports from the United States, the European Union, the Taiwan region, and Japan. This decision comes after an investigation revealed that these imports have been sold at unfairly low prices, causing significant harm to the polyformaldehyde copolymer industry in the Chinese mainland.
The Ministry of Commerce stated on Sunday that the duties will range from 3.8% to as high as 74.9%, depending on the degree of dumping by different producers. These measures will take effect from May 19 and will remain in place for five years.
