Young visitors, dressed in traditional hanfu attire, are flocking to the museum to see the figurine firsthand. Many are snapping photos while mimicking the duo’s stance—holding hands with one arm akimbo—creating a heartfelt connection that bridges the gap between past and present.
“It’s amazing how something so old can feel so relatable,” said Li Mei, a university student visiting the museum. “We wanted to recreate the moment and feel a part of history.”

Two local students were so inspired that they choreographed a dance piece based on the figurine, showcasing it at a recent cultural festival. “We wanted to express the timeless bond depicted by the two women,” explained one of the dancers.
