Li Bingjie continued her golden streak at the National Swimming Championships in Shenzhen, south China’s Guangdong Province, on Tuesday. The star swimmer clinched her third gold medal for Hebei by winning the women’s 200-meter freestyle final with a personal best time of 1:55.52.
From the start, Li established a strong lead, maintaining her dominance throughout the race. Her performance not only secured another gold but also showcased her exceptional talent and dedication.
In the men’s 800-meter freestyle final, Zhang Zhanshuo emerged victorious with a time of 7:49.71. Fei Liwei made an early challenge but fell two seconds behind after 500 meters, finishing in second place.
The men’s 200-meter butterfly event saw an intense battle between Xu Fang and Chen Juner. Chen took an early lead, but Xu surged ahead in the final 50 meters to claim the title in 1:55.22.
Qin Haiyang demonstrated his prowess in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke final, dominating the race and taking gold with a time of 26.71 seconds.
The excitement continued as the team from Zhejiang, consisting of Xu Jiayu, Ye Shiwen, Yu Yiting, and Pan Zhanle, won the mixed 4×100-meter medley relay final. They secured the gold medal with a time of 3:44.95, adding to Zhejiang’s tally at the championships.
