Over 10 Trapped After Landslide in Southwest China’s Guizhou Province

A landslide struck Dafang County in southwest China’s Guizhou Province on Thursday, leaving more than ten people trapped, according to local authorities.

Rescue teams are currently on-site, working tirelessly to locate and save those affected. The area has recently experienced heavy rainfall, which is believed to have triggered the landslide.

Local residents are being urged to stay alert and report any signs of further geological instability. Temporary shelters have been set up for those displaced or evacuated from high-risk areas.

“We’re doing everything we can to reach those trapped and ensure the safety of our community,” a spokesperson for the rescue team said.

As search and rescue operations continue, officials are closely monitoring the situation to prevent any additional incidents.
