Shenzhen, China — The 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair kicked off on Thursday, unveiling an artificial intelligence (AI) exhibition area for the first time in its history.
The five-day event spans eight exhibition halls, three comprehensive spaces, and five specialized areas, showcasing the vibrant fusion of culture and technology. The specialized halls delve into international cultural trade, cultural tourism, art and design, film and gaming, and intangible cultural heritage.
The newly introduced AI exhibition area draws significant attention, featuring cutting-edge products from 22 local tech companies. From robots and drones to smart glasses and earphones, visitors engage with interactive experiences that offer a glimpse into the future of AI applications.
“I was amazed by the AI-powered robots that can dance and interact with visitors,” said Li Wei, a college student attending the fair. “It feels like we’re stepping into the future.”
Over 120,000 cultural products are on display, alongside more than 4,000 investment and financing projects in the cultural industries. The fair serves as a dynamic platform for cultural exchange and industry collaboration.
Participation has reached new heights, with 6,280 government delegations, cultural institutions, and enterprises joining both online and offline—a rise of 265 participants from last year’s event. In total, 3,300 exhibitors are attending in person.
The fair also marks a record in international engagement. A total of 305 overseas exhibitors from 65 countries and regions are participating, reflecting the event’s growing global influence. Organizers expect to welcome over 35,000 professional visitors from 110 countries and regions.
Established in 2004, the fair has evolved into a leading cultural event in China, playing a key role in promoting Chinese culture worldwide.
