Slovenia took center stage as the guest country of honor at the 4th China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) Expo in Ningbo. Vanja Kavcic, editor-in-chief of Internationalis, shared her excitement about the event and its role in boosting relations between Slovenia and China.

Speaking with journalist Cui Yingjie, Kavcic highlighted the impressive Slovenian Pavilion, which showcased the nation’s commitment to green innovations and environmental sustainability. “We’ve brought some of our most cutting-edge technologies in renewable energy and eco-friendly products,” she said. “It’s thrilling to see the interest from visitors and potential partners here in the Chinese mainland.”

Beyond technology, the pavilion also offered a glimpse into Slovenia’s rich cultural heritage. Traditional music performances, artisanal crafts, and culinary demonstrations attracted crowds eager to experience Slovenian culture. “Connecting through culture is just as important as business,” Kavcic noted. “It helps build mutual understanding and friendships between our peoples.”

Kavcic believes the expo serves as a vital platform for fostering closer ties. “Events like this open doors for collaboration,” she explained. “They pave the way for joint ventures, trade opportunities, and cultural exchanges that benefit both China and Slovenia.”

As the expo continues, the enthusiasm from both participants and visitors signals a promising future for China-Slovenia relations. “We’re looking forward to deepening our partnership,” Kavcic stated. “The possibilities are endless when we work together.”
