China has pledged its support to Turkmenistan in accelerating its economic diversification, aiming to boost modernization efforts in both countries. This commitment was made during a phone call between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov on Monday.
Wang Yi highlighted the high-level exchanges between the two nations, emphasizing that these interactions provide strategic guidance for the development of bilateral ties. He noted that China, as a responsible major country, consistently upholds the principle of equality among all nations, big or small, in fostering friendly international relationships.
“China’s policy toward Turkmenistan has been consistent and stable,” Wang Yi stated, adding that China values its traditional friendship with Turkmenistan and approaches relations from a strategic, long-term perspective.
Meredov echoed these sentiments, acknowledging the deep historical roots of the friendship between the two countries. He pointed out that Turkmenistan and China have established a comprehensive strategic partnership, engaging in wide-ranging cooperation across various fields.
Turkmenistan supports the significant global initiatives proposed by China and is eager to continue coordinating on multilateral affairs, Meredov added.
The strengthened partnership between China and Turkmenistan marks a significant step toward economic growth and modernization in the region, promising enhanced collaboration and mutual development.
