World’s Largest Legoland Shanghai Kicks Off Trials Before Grand Opening
Shanghai is about to get even more exciting! The Legoland Shanghai Resort, set to be the world’s largest Legoland theme park, has completed its project handover and is beginning trial operations from May 31.
During this sneak peek phase, select guests and holders of the exclusive “1st-to-Play” annual pass and “1st-to-Stay” hotel package will be among the first to experience the park’s thrilling attractions, mouth-watering restaurants, vibrant retail outlets, captivating performances, and the family-friendly hotel amenities. These trial runs will help ensure everything is perfect for the official grand opening on July 5.
Among the must-try attractions is the world’s first Big Lego Coaster, where you can soar through a landscape filled with towering Lego Minifigures! For those who love a view, the 60-meter-high Legoland Observation Tower offers breathtaking panoramas of the entire resort.
At the heart of Legoland lies Miniland, featuring incredible Lego-built replicas of iconic landmarks from around the globe. Take a themed boat ride through intricate Lego recreations of famous Chinese cities and attractions—it’s like touring the world in brick form!
Don’t miss the global debut of “Shanghai Dreamscapes,” an exclusive interactive show led by the renowned Lego master builder, Brick Suit Girl. This vibrant performance takes you on a journey through Shanghai’s evolution from traditional neighborhoods to a bustling global metropolis.
Also making its worldwide premiere is the highly anticipated “Lego Monkie Kid” live show. Featuring 13 professional puppeteers and a massive 3.7-meter Bull Demon King puppet, this production blends large-scale stage props with dynamic projections for an epic theatrical experience.
Just steps away from the park, the Legoland Hotel continues the adventure with themed play zones, interactive Lego features, and daily children’s entertainment—making it the perfect place for families to relax after a fun-filled day.
Tailored especially for families with children aged 2 to 12, the Legoland Shanghai Resort boasts eight themed areas with over 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions. Plus, with thousands of Lego models built from over 85 million Lego bricks, there’s no shortage of amazing sights to see!
