China’s top diplomat, Wang Yi, met with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the special envoy of the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Wednesday in Beijing. The meeting aimed to strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, emphasized the strong momentum in China-UAE relations under the guidance of their respective heads of state.
“China is willing to work with the UAE to provide mutual support on issues concerning each other’s core interests,” Wang said. He highlighted the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation across various fields and maintaining close coordination on international and regional affairs.
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak expressed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening high-level exchanges with China. “The UAE adheres to the one-China principle and will uphold the principles of independence and autonomy in steadfastly promoting cooperation with China,” he stated.
Both leaders underscored the significance of deepening the China-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership, signaling a continued collaboration that could benefit both nations and contribute to regional stability.
