In a significant move to strengthen regional ties, Chen Wenqing, a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with Le Minh Tri, Chief Justice of Vietnam’s Supreme People’s Court, on Friday.
Chen, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, highlighted the important consensus reached by the leaders of China and Vietnam on deepening their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. He emphasized that this consensus sets the direction for the development of bilateral relations.
“We hope both sides earnestly implement the important consensus reached by our top leaders,” Chen said. He called for improved communication mechanisms, broader cooperation channels, strengthened judicial assistance, enhanced efforts in combating transnational crime, and the promotion of efficient resolution of cross-border disputes.
Le Minh Tri expressed Vietnam’s willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation with China in the judicial field. “Vietnam is committed to working closely with China to achieve mutual benefits and contribute to regional stability,” he stated.
This meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to enhance collaboration and foster development and peace in the region.
