In the coastal city of Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, primary school students are turning waste into wonder. Under the guidance of their teacher, they have created stunning ocean-themed art using recycled materials like plastic bottles and seashells.
These creative efforts come ahead of the 17th World Oceans Day and the 18th National Ocean Awareness Day in China, both observed on Sunday. The hands-on project aims to raise awareness about the importance of marine conservation and inspire a sense of environmental responsibility among the youth.
“By using discarded items to make art, we’re learning how to protect our oceans and reduce pollution,” said one enthusiastic student. “It’s fun and helps the planet!”
The initiative not only nurtures creativity but also educates students about the impact of waste on marine life. Through art, these young minds are making a statement about preserving the natural world for future generations.
