China has expressed its commitment to promoting a steady, sound, and sustainable development of military-to-military ties with the United States. Jiang Bin, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, made the remarks during a press briefing on Friday.
“China always upholds the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation,” Jiang said when asked about the relations between the two nations’ militaries. He emphasized the importance of both countries working together to enhance communication and manage differences.
Jiang urged the United States to stop portraying China as a threat and to earnestly respect China’s core interests and major concerns. “We hope the U.S. side will work with China in the same direction to strengthen dialogue, properly manage differences, and enhance mutual understanding and trust,” he stated.
The spokesperson highlighted that improving military relations between China and the U.S. is crucial for global peace and stability. He called for joint efforts to develop a constructive relationship that benefits both nations and the international community.
