Wang Yi says China Opposed to Israels Military Attacks on Iran

China’s Wang Yi Calls for Peace Amid Israel-Iran Tensions

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has voiced strong opposition to Israel’s military actions against Iran, emphasizing the need for dialogue and peaceful resolution amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

In a phone call on Saturday with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, Wang Yi expressed that resorting to military force is unacceptable, especially when the international community is seeking a political solution to Iran’s nuclear program.

“China has always maintained that international disputes should be resolved through dialogue and consultation,” Wang Yi said. “We oppose the use of force and sanctions.”

He highlighted that the Middle East cannot remain under the shadow of conflict and that lasting peace can only be achieved through mutual understanding and cooperation. Wang Yi also stressed that diplomatic avenues have not been exhausted, and a peaceful solution is still within reach.

Earlier, Wang Yi had a conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, reinforcing China’s commitment to promoting stability in the region.

“Force cannot deliver lasting peace,” Wang Yi remarked. “Only by upholding the concept of common security can the legitimate concerns of all parties be fully addressed.”

He affirmed China’s readiness to play a constructive role in facilitating dialogue between Israel and Iran, urging both nations to resolve their differences through peaceful means.

In response, Israeli Foreign Minister Saar assured that Israel is committed to protecting Chinese entities and citizens within its borders.

As tensions escalate, the international community watches closely, hoping for a de-escalation and a return to diplomatic negotiations.
