China’s Women’s Basketball Team Dominates Bosnia with 124-57 Victory
China’s women’s basketball team delivered a stellar performance on Sunday, overwhelming Bosnia and Herzegovina with a 124-57 win in a warm-up game for the Asia Cup held in Jinan, Shandong Province. Building on their previous 101-55 victory on Friday, the team showcased an even more impressive offensive display.
From the outset, China took command, leading the first quarter 30-8 and extending their dominance to 67-21 by halftime. With such a substantial lead, head coach Gong Luming seized the opportunity to experiment with different player combinations and strategies.
China’s sharpshooters were in top form, sinking 17 three-pointers out of 32 attempts. Standout player Yang Shuyu led the charge with a game-high 22 points, adding five assists and six steals to her impressive stats. Rising star Zhang Ziyu, just 18 years old, contributed 16 points and seven rebounds.
Looking ahead, China is set to face Japan in their next warm-up match on Wednesday in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, as they continue their preparations for the upcoming Asia Cup.
