Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday to attend the second China-Central Asia Summit, aiming to strengthen ties and enhance cooperation with Central Asian nations.
Leaders from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan joined President Xi to discuss regional development, economic collaboration, and security initiatives. This gathering builds on the foundation laid during the inaugural summit held last year.
“China and Central Asian countries share a deep-rooted friendship,” President Xi remarked upon his arrival. “Together, we can promote prosperity and stability across our region.”
The summit focuses on infrastructure projects, trade agreements, and cultural exchanges. Key topics include the Belt and Road Initiative and efforts to boost connectivity throughout Central Asia.
