Explore a Century of Revolution at Beijing’s CPC Museum
Nestled on the eastern side of Beijing’s iconic central axis, the Museum of the Communist Party of China (CPC) stands as a monumental testament to China’s revolutionary journey. Spanning an impressive 147,000 square meters, this architectural marvel opened its doors in June 2021 to coincide with the centenary of the CPC.
The museum offers a comprehensive journey through a hundred years of the Party’s history. Over 2,500 historical photographs and 4,500 artifacts—including 420 national first-class cultural relics—bring the past to life. From handwritten manuscripts of revolutionary leaders to everyday objects that witnessed pivotal moments, each exhibit offers a tangible connection to China’s transformation from a war-torn nation to a global powerhouse.
One of the highlights includes the first domestically produced sedan car from 1958, symbolizing China’s strides in industrialization. Sculptures depicting significant events, such as the joining of forces on Jinggang Mountain in 1928, provide immersive insights into the nation’s past.
Today, the museum has become a must-visit destination for tourists worldwide. Its striking architecture and immersive exhibits attract diverse audiences—from history enthusiasts interested in the roots of China’s modernization to those simply curious about the nation’s past. Visitors are invited to reflect on a century of perseverance, innovation, and sacrifice—a story that resonates far beyond China’s borders.
