China’s Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC) has showcased its newest military and civilian aerospace technologies at the 55th Paris Air Show, which opened on Monday at the Le Bourget Airport near Paris.
AVIC is presenting 30 aircraft models across eight categories during the week-long event, highlighting innovation, system-based solutions, and international cooperation.
Making its international debut is China’s new-generation J-35A, a medium-sized multi-role stealth fighter capable of both air superiority and striking ground and maritime targets.
Also featured are the J-20, a heavy stealth fighter primarily designed for air superiority, and the J-10CE, another fighter jet equipped with China’s top-tier long-range air-to-air missile, the PL-15E.
“The J-20, Y-20, Z-20, J-35A, and the GJ-11 represent the achievements of decades of hard work. I believe we will continue to develop even more advanced fighter jets. There is much to look forward to,” said Zhu Qian, deputy head of AVIC’s delegation at the Paris Air Show.
On the civilian side, Chinese unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), including the Wing Loong and the Xuange helicopter series, are making their debut at the air show.
The lineup also features the AG600M amphibious firefighting plane, the MA60 precipitation enhancement airplane, the Wing Loong-2H UAV designed for disaster relief, and the AC352 mid-sized utility helicopter, co-developed by AVIC and France-based Airbus.
“The Paris Air Show is one of the most prestigious and influential events in the aviation industry. It serves as a barometer of the industry. We aim to make the most of this international platform to learn from our global counterparts and grow together,” said Li Qingtang, head of AVIC’s delegation.
This year’s show has attracted more than 2,500 exhibitors from nearly 50 countries and regions, who have brought their latest innovations in military aircraft, green aviation, space technology, and more.
China first participated in the biennial Paris Air Show in 1987. Founded in 1909, the show is the world’s largest in the aerospace sector, embodying excellence, innovation, and international cooperation.
