2025 Summer Davos to Ignite Global Growth in Tianjin

The World Economic Forum’s 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2025, popularly known as the Summer Davos Forum, is set to take place from June 24 to 26 in north China’s Tianjin Municipality. With the theme “Entrepreneurship in the New Era”, the forum aims to explore how innovation and entrepreneurship can reignite global growth.

This year’s event is expected to bring together over 1,700 participants from over 90 countries and regions. The focus will be on five key areas: understanding the world economy, insights on China, disrupted industries, investing in people and the planet, and advancements in new energy and materials.

Chen Shuai, an official with the National Development and Reform Commission, emphasized that the forum will reaffirm China’s commitment to high-level opening up and sharing development opportunities with the world. Tianjin Vice-Mayor Li Wenhai invited international participants to experience the city’s advancements in technology and emerging industries, highlighting the forum’s role as a hub for meaningful dialogue.

Over 40 sessions, including the opening plenary, will be livestreamed. Key reports such as the 2025 Energy Transition Index and the Top 10 Emerging Technologies will be released during the event. Through action-oriented discussions, the forum aims to accelerate progress on shared global challenges and provide valuable insights into emerging markets and their roles in driving global economic growth.

Since its inception in 2007, the Summer Davos Forum has been held in China, bringing together global leaders, innovators, and change-makers to address pressing economic challenges and explore new frontiers for sustainable and inclusive growth.
