China has launched its National Energy Efficiency Promotion Week in Qingdao City, east China’s Shandong Province, sparking nationwide efforts to promote a greener lifestyle. With the theme “Energy Saving and Efficiency Improvement,” the event kicked off on Monday, aiming to inspire individuals and industries to embrace sustainable practices.
The week-long event runs from June 23 to 29, with a special highlight on National Low-carbon Day on June 25. This year marks two key anniversaries: the fifth year since China committed to peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, and the 20th anniversary of the energy efficiency labeling system, which helps consumers make informed choices about energy consumption.
