China’s Shenzhou-20 Astronauts Prepare for Second Spacewalk

China’s Shenzhou-20 astronauts are gearing up for their second spacewalk, according to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA). The trio aboard China’s orbiting space station—Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui, and Wang Jie—have been in orbit for two months since their launch on April 25.

After completing their first extravehicular activity (EVA) in May, the astronauts have been busy with environmental monitoring, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and cargo transfers. The CMSA reports that the space station remains stable, and the crew is in excellent physical and mental health.

The upcoming spacewalk will see the astronauts continue their mission objectives, further advancing China’s ambitious space exploration program. The CMSA has stated that the crew is fully prepared for the next EVA, which is expected to happen soon.
