The 2025 Global New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Cooperation and Development Forum was held in Shanghai on Wednesday, bringing together car manufacturers, solution providers, and experts to discuss the latest trends in new energy vehicles.
China’s car exports have seen robust growth this year, with 2.49 million cars exported from January to May, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. Among them, 855,000 were NEVs, marking a year-on-year increase of 64.6 percent.
Participants at the forum expressed optimism that this surge will continue. However, they emphasized that localization should be the industry’s future focus. By adapting to local markets and preferences, Chinese car manufacturers aim to strengthen their global presence and sustain growth.
