Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is set to embark on a significant diplomatic tour to the European Union headquarters, Germany, and France from June 30 to July 6. This visit aims to strengthen China-EU relations, enhance mutual understanding, and discuss major international and regional issues.
During his stay in Brussels, Wang Yi will meet with EU officials to hold the 13th round of the China-EU High-Level Strategic Dialogue. The discussions will highlight the progress made over 50 years of China-EU relations and seek to build consensus on cooperation while properly managing differences.
In Germany, Wang Yi will engage in the eighth round of the China-Germany Strategic Dialogue on Diplomacy and Security. He will meet with German officials to discuss bilateral relations, global security, and ways to consolidate the partnership between the two nations.
While in France, the Chinese Foreign Minister will hold talks with his French counterpart and attend the meeting of the China-France high-level dialogue mechanism on people-to-people exchanges. The focus will be on enhancing cultural ties and promoting mutual understanding between the Chinese and French people.
This diplomatic tour comes at the invitation of EU leaders and the foreign ministers of Germany and France. It serves as political preparation for the next phase of high-level engagements between China and the EU, reflecting China’s commitment to global cooperation and partnership.
