China Allocates Additional 100 Million Yuan to Aid Flood-Hit Guizhou Province

China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced on Saturday that it has allocated an additional 100 million yuan (approximately $13.95 million) to bolster disaster relief efforts in the flood-affected Guizhou Province. This comes on top of the 100 million yuan assigned earlier this week on Wednesday.

Guizhou Province, located in southwest China, has been grappling with severe floods that have impacted thousands of residents and caused significant damage to infrastructure. The additional funds are aimed at supporting emergency response measures, rehabilitation of damaged facilities, and assisting affected communities in the region.

The NDRC stated that the funds will be used to expedite relief operations, ensure the safety and well-being of the residents, and facilitate the reconstruction of essential services. Local authorities are coordinating with national agencies to implement effective disaster management strategies and provide necessary aid to those in need.

Efforts are underway to restore normalcy in the province, with emergency teams working around the clock to repair damaged roads, restore power supplies, and secure clean water resources. The government has emphasized the importance of safeguarding lives and minimizing the impact of the natural disaster on the community.

Residents in the affected areas have expressed gratitude for the prompt response and support from the authorities. The collaboration between national and local agencies highlights China’s commitment to disaster relief and the well-being of its people.
