Cpc Grows Stronger As Membership Surpasses 100 Million

China’s Communist Party Surpasses 100 Million Members, Embraces Youth Participation

In a landmark achievement, the Communist Party of China (CPC) has surpassed 100 million members, highlighting its significant growth and influence.

According to a recent report released ahead of the Party’s 104th anniversary, the CPC’s membership reached over 100.27 million by the end of 2024, marking an increase of nearly 1.09 million from the previous year. This expansion reflects the Party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its grassroots organizations and cultivate a dedicated membership committed to the nation’s progress.

Youth Participation on the Rise

The surge in young members is particularly noteworthy. In 2024, more than 2.13 million people joined the CPC, with a remarkable 83.7% of them aged 35 or younger. This trend showcases the growing enthusiasm among China’s youth to actively participate in shaping their country’s future.

“It’s inspiring to see so many young people stepping forward to contribute to national development,” said a representative from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Embracing Education and Diversity

The education level of Party members continues to rise, with about 57.79 million members—57.6% of the total—holding junior college degrees or higher. This represents a 1.4 percentage point increase from the previous year, emphasizing the CPC’s commitment to promoting education and professional development among its ranks.

Women’s membership has also seen growth. By the end of 2024, nearly 31 million women were part of the CPC, accounting for 30.9% of total membership—up 0.5 percentage points from the previous year. The Party maintains a steady representation from ethnic minority groups, which make up 7.7% of its members.

Strengthening Roots in Communities

Workers and farmers remain a vital component of the CPC, constituting about 33% of all members. This connection underscores the Party’s foundational ties to the people and its dedication to addressing the needs and aspirations of communities across the nation.

The CPC’s focus on self-supervision, governance, and reform has been pivotal in its sustained growth. By upholding strict standards and fostering high-caliber members, the Party aims to provide organizational support for building a stronger country and achieving national rejuvenation through modernization.

As the CPC continues to evolve, its expanding membership and inclusive approach signal a dynamic future for China, driven by a diverse and dedicated population eager to contribute to the nation’s advancement.
