You Benchang, born in 1931, is a celebrated actor with the National Theatre of China. In 2023, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles at the 32nd China TV Golden Eagle Awards, one of the country’s highest honors for television.
Earlier this year, You submitted his application to join the CPC and was accepted as a probationary member in May. His commitment to the Party at such an advanced age has resonated with many, highlighting his dedication to the nation’s cultural development.
