Fresh Leadership Elected at China’s Youth and Students’ Federations

Beijing, China — In a significant move to empower the next generation, China’s top youth and student organizations have elected new leadership to steer their future initiatives. The meetings, which commenced on Wednesday, highlighted the accomplishments of the past five years and mapped out strategic plans for the upcoming half-decade.

During the session of the All-China Youth Federation, Xu Xiao, a senior official with the Communist Youth League of China, was elected as the chairperson. Xu’s election signals a renewed commitment to engaging young people in the nation’s development and reform efforts.

At the congress of the All-China Students’ Federation, a new committee comprising 198 groups was elected. Notably, the student union of Peking University was chosen as the presiding group of the federation, highlighting the university’s leading role in student affairs.

The gatherings called on youths and students across the Chinese mainland to uphold strong ideals and convictions. Emphasizing a sense of responsibility towards the country, the newly elected leaders urged their peers to shoulder their historic mission and actively contribute to China’s modernization efforts.
