China Hosts Global Eco Forum Focused on Green Transition

China’s Eco Forum Unites Global Leaders for Green Transformation

China is taking big steps toward a greener planet with the 2025 Eco Forum Global Annual Conference kicking off this weekend in Guiyang, the capital of southwest China’s Guizhou Province. The two-day event brings together nearly 1,000 guests, including foreign political leaders, scholars, and industry experts, all focused on creating a sustainable future.

This year’s forum, themed “Harmonious coexistence between humans and nature – global collaborative development for green transformation,” features 20 thematic sessions. What’s exciting is that international organizations are diving in deep, participating in 11 sessions and even independently organizing four of them for the first time since 2018.

A highlight of the forum is the showcase of cutting-edge green technologies and products. From new energy solutions to innovative ways of treating solid waste, these advancements aim to connect tech pioneers with market needs, speeding up the implementation of eco-friendly innovations.

Known as China’s only national-level international forum dedicated to ecological civilization, the Eco Forum Global has been championing environmental progress since it started, and this marks its 12th gathering. It’s more than just a conference; it’s a hub where ideas meet action to tackle environmental challenges.

The active involvement of global leaders and organizations signals a unified effort to address climate change and promote sustainability. For young people around the world, especially in the Global South, events like this are a beacon of hope and a call to action to build a greener, healthier planet for all.
