Flight Route Adjustment Benefits Both Sides of Taiwan Straits

New Flight Route Enhances Connections Across the Taiwan Strait

The Chinese mainland has activated a new flight route, W121, aiming to boost connections across the Taiwan Strait. Announced by the Civil Aviation Administration of China on Sunday, this move is set to ease air traffic congestion, enhance aviation safety, and reduce flight delays for travelers.

According to Chen Binhua, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the W121 route connects to the existing M503 route within the Shanghai flight information region. “Its opening and operation are part of the normal management of the mainland’s civil aviation airspace,” Chen said in a statement.

This development is expected to benefit people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. “Previous adjustments to flight routes have already improved cross-Strait flights and made it easier for personnel exchanges,” Chen added.

The new route highlights efforts to improve air travel efficiency and strengthen ties between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. Travelers can look forward to smoother journeys and reduced delays, enhancing the overall travel experience.
