Chinese Premier Li Qiang met with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Thursday, expressing China’s commitment to expanding Belt and Road cooperation with Egypt. The two leaders discussed enhancing partnerships in areas such as trade, finance, manufacturing, new energy, science and technology, and cultural exchanges.
“China is ready to encourage more capable Chinese enterprises to invest in Egypt,” Li stated during the meeting. He conveyed warm greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping, highlighting the flourishing China-Egypt relations guided by the two nations’ leaders.

Furthermore, China and Egypt agreed to enhance coordination within multilateral platforms like the United Nations, BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. They aim to promote true multilateralism, work towards a multipolar world, and foster inclusive economic globalization.
